FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines. Proposed engine comprises opposed cylinders (1). Said cylinders (1) are assembled into units of two cylinders at crankcase (7), pistons (2) of cylinders (1) are opposed and engaged by con-rods (3) and (27). Crankcases (7) are aligned at the frame (10) accommodating primary shaft (11) with gear wheel (18) and flywheels, countershaft (17) with flywheels and gears, power takeoff shaft (21) with gears and clutch and common shaft (24) of timing drive, feed system, ignition system, lubing system and electric power supply system. It comprises also camshaft (6) and con-rods. Two con-rods engage the pin at the rod of one pair of pistons (2) with the pins of primary shaft flywheels while two other con-rods connect the pin on con-rod of the other pair of pistons with pins of countershaft flywheels. Gear of primary shaft (11) and that of countershaft (17) are in permanent engagement. Clutch case (20) runs free on power takeoff shaft (21) and has rim and is engaged with countershaft (17) gear. Clutch discs (22) are fixed with power takeoff shaft (21).
EFFECT: simplified design, balanced pistons.
