FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and may be used to measure level of liquids, preferably in reservoirs. A level indicator comprises a sensitive element from at least three inductance coils. Coils are wound onto a carrying base and have sections of tight winding with width h. Number of floats corresponds to the number of detected levels. In each float there is a tight cavity, where an insert is installed from dielectric material, which covers the sensitive element. A radiating coil is wound onto the insert, which interacts with the inductance coils of the sensitive element, and a circuit board is installed with an autonomous power supply source and a generator of high frequency electromagnetic field. On the sensitive element there is at least one reference device placed, comprising an input coupling coil displaced from the input coupling coil by h, circuits of processing and output coupling coil. The converter comprises analogue-to-digital converters according to the number of inductance coils and a microprocessor. Sections of each inductance coil, starting from the second one, are displaced relative to sections of the previous coil by the value h in evenly alternating order. Width of radiating coil winding corresponds to width h.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement of the level or interface of fractions due to exclusion of gross measurement errors arising as a result of ambiguity, and transition from discrete to continuous measurement of depth.
