FIELD: experimental equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental equipment for heat-strength static tests of aircraft structures, in particular to infrared heating devices. In case of heat-strength tests of various structures under certain conditions, long-term (> 500 s) heating of structures to T = 2,700 K at a rate of up to 100 K/s and radiant flow with density of up to 2,000 kW/m2 is required. Developed is an infrared heating unit comprising a frame, infrared emitters, current-conducting busbars and heat-insulating screen, characterized by that heat-insulating screen made of low-temperature heat-insulating material, comprises housing with longitudinal side walls and bottom with series-installed high-temperature thermal accumulating and heat-insulating plates, as well as high-temperature electric insulators, one pair of which isolates inner walls of housing and radiators from thermo-accumulating and heat-insulating plates, and the second pair isolates external sides of emitters and external walls of housing from additionally installed heat-insulating plate; and infrared emitters current-conducting buses additionally contain temperature compensators. Thermal calculations of the proposed heating unit have shown that when performing the heating program of the tested structure to T = 2,700 K, the resulting heat flux with density of up to 2,000 kW/m2 with subsequent exposure of the structure at this temperature for 2,000 seconds, the temperature of the hot surface of the screen can reach 2,800 K.
EFFECT: high maximum temperature of the heated structure and high density of the radiant flux incident on it, which is necessary for rapid heating of the test object.
