FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: wear-resistant diamond tool comprises a housing with by a layer of galvanic coupling fixed by diamond grains, above which there is a wear-resistant layer of coupling, applied using the PVD method - physical precipitation from a vapour phase. The width of the galvanic coupling layer amounts 20-40 % of the size of the diamond grain, the width of wear-resistant layer of coupling, applied using the PVD method amounts 40-60 % of the size of the diamond grain.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the tool service life.
