FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method of locating one or more tissue samples of a substantially circular shape on a solid support. The method includes steps of transmitting light with a given wavelength to a tissue sample, in which said light causes autofluorescence, identifying the position of the centre of the tissue sample based on use of the autofluorescence light, correlating coordinates of the position of the centre of the tissue sample on a solid support based on use of the x, y coordinate system and drawing a map of coordinates of the tissue sample on the solid support to differentiate regions containing the tissue sample and empty regions on the solid support.
EFFECT: providing an apparatus for locating one or more tissue samples of a substantially circular shape on a solid support.
