FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nutritional composition for babies. The nutritional composition for administration to babies during the first six months of the baby life contains a source of proteins, a source of carbohydrates and a source of lipids, where the source of lipids includes at least 16 wt % of linolenic acid and 6 - 11 wt % α-linoleic acid of the total content of fatty acids. These quantities are such that the ratio of linolenic acid to α-linoleic acid is within the range of 1 - 10.
