SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of communication technologies. The method and device are disclosed for separation of routes in ASON services, besides, the method includes stages, when they calculate a route for each of different calls or each of different services of the same call in an automated switched optical network (ASON), besides, if there are sufficient network resources, the routes of appropriate services are set so that they are independent on each other; and if there are no sufficient resources, the routes of appropriate services are set so that they coincide partially or fully.

EFFECT: technical result consists in exclusion of both usage of one route by many services and a situation, when it is not possible to find routes with available sufficient resources, since in the available level of engineering the routes that carry each service may not be sufficiently separated, or network resources may not be used in sufficient manner.
