SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of effecting on meteorological processes, namely to methods of initiation of lightning discharges in the atmosphere during active effects on convective clouds. The method consists in the fact that the convective clouds are affected with the flow of charged particles. The flow of charged particles for initiation of an electrical discharge of the cloud is created by a pyrotechnic method in the form of a thermal ionisation channel.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of initiation of lightning discharge is provided.
