FIELD: meteorology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyrotechnic compositions for changing atmospheric conditions by artificial control of precipitation as a result of generation of artificial ions using a thermionic method from pyrotechnic mixture. Composition contains components at following ratios, wt%: magnesium powder or alloys thereof (38-48); potassium nitrate (40-52); urea (2-8); calcium sulphate (2-8); silver iodide (1-2). Magnesium powder or alloys thereof is combustible. Potassium nitrate is used as an oxidant. Urea is used as a regulator of combustion process. Calcium sulphate is used as process and ion-donor component. Silver iodide is an ice-forming composition and provides crystallisation of cloud droplets at subzero temperature in atmosphere.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of precipitation process, enabling use of silver iodide for artificial inducing of precipitation from warm clouds.
