FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: axial myopia is simulated experimentally in chinchillas. The simulation is performed by the daily administration of transretinoic acid 0.3-0.6 ml in the concentration of 0.04-0.07 mg per normal saline 1 ml into the internal carotid artery for 6 months. The administration is performed for 6 months.
EFFECT: method enables providing more accurate reproduction of the pathological process, approaching the simulation to the natural clinical course.
