FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for emergency suppression of dry rocket engines (DRE) during practicing and ground tests. The method includes measurement of vibration acceleration value using sensors, conversion of the received data into wavelet coefficients in accordance with the logic of continuous conversion, definition of the decomposition scale having maximum energy of wavelet coefficients, performance of analysis of coefficient dispersion at this scale, generation of an opinion on a fault in DRE operation. At the same time the sensors are placed in points of the DRE body, which are informative in respect to longitudinal acoustic oscillations, and measurement axes of sensors are aligned along the longitudinal axis of the DRE.
EFFECT: method has expanded operational capabilities, makes it possible to increase reliability and validity of diagnostics with simultaneous increase of time reserve for taking an advance action by creation of conditions providing for the possibility to obtain information about local precursors of the fault and complete usage of time-frequency information.
