SUBSTANCE: in the lower part of a reactor housing an arrangement is made for high-melting components with thermal conductivity that is lower than that of molten steel and with density that is approximately equal to density of molten steel.
EFFECT: reduction of intensity of a thermal load and its more uniform distribution along an inner surface of a reactor housing wall at formation of a melt pool in its lower part at a severe accident.
