FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer-aided draping device and process exploiting said device. Proposed draping device is used for preformed stratified and, so called dry fibrous workpiece at forming equipment. This device comprises manipulator designed to displace and orient the draping head. Draping head comprises the drum with suction hole opened at its surface to grip the web at thrust device arranged outside the forming equipment and web heating means. Note here that this device includes the means for compaction of this web at preformed workpiece and its tensioning before compaction. Note here that said means comprise the motorisation means to spin said drive at controlled rpm about its axis, adhesive shaft separated from said drum and means for shape pre-adaptation able to compact said web and applied on preformed workpiece.

EFFECT: higher rate of application, enhanced performances.
