FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: tunnel corneal incision 2.2-2.5 mm long is performed. Thereafter, a viscoelastic is introduced into an anterior chamber. A pupil is mechanically dilated by means of microsurgical instruments or a pupillary ring. The tunnel section is sealed by applying one interrupted suture. A vacuum ring is applied on the eye. The vacuum ring is mated with a femto-laser assembly interface. That is followed by performing a circular capsulorhexis and fragmenting a nucleus with using a laser light at frequency 60-200 kHz, length 220-500×10-15. The vacuum ring is unmated from the laser assembly. The vacuum ring is removed. The interrupted suture is removed from the tunnel corneal incision. A cut-out flap of the anterior chamber is removed. That is followed by a hydrodissection and a phakoemulsification of the crystalline lens fragments by means of an ultrasonic tip. Crystalline lens masses are aspirated. An intraocular lens is implanted.
EFFECT: method enables using the femto-second laser exposure on the eyes with a narrow rigid pupil by producing an ideally aligned rounded capsulorhexis of the required diameter, and fragmenting the nucleus qualitatively, providing an optimum position of the intraocular lens, preventing its micro-misalignment that in turn provides the more effective rehabilitation of the patients with cataract with a minimum risk of intra- and postoperative complications.
