FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metal and alloy durability determination by tensile loading of conventional flat or round samples of metals under examination, with sample shape regulated by GOST 10006-80. Method involves axial stretching of flat and round samples at a constant deformation rate, and determination of test temperature. Dynamic viscosity coefficient of metals and active energy of rupture are determined by the formulae: for flat and round samples, with the use of tensile strength, yield strength, relative elongation of metals for conventional sample stretching, deformation rate of sample stretching, Young modulus and longitudinal sound wave speed in metals.
EFFECT: in metal structure examination under actual stress and deformation rates up to destruction, possible forecast of operational reliability of a given material on the basis of quantitative assessment of parameters (σb, σ02, δ5, έ, µ, A*).
