FIELD: physics, measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to techniques for evaluation of physical and mechanical properties of the material by indentation. Essence: the sample is positioned relative to the indenter to provide the necessary conditions for interaction and to obtain the necessary parameters of pendulum dicing trace. The sample is displaced relative to the vertical position of the pendulum with the indenter horizontally from the symmetrical position and vertically to the position ensuring the formation of trace with the desired shape and depth of intender penetration at the inlet and outlet of the material with orientation of the latter in different directions with respect to the path of intender movement.
EFFECT: invention provides expansion of technological capabilities of pendulum dicing.
