FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. To up weldability of zinc-plated steel strips with strip is produced from steel that contains the following elements in wt %: C 0.04-1.0, Mn 9.0-30.0, Al 0.05-15.0, Si 0.05-6.0, Cr ≤6.5, Cu ≤4, Ti+Zr ≤0.7, Nb+V ≤0.5, iron and unavoidable impurities making the rest. Strip is annealed and subjected to electroplating with zinc of zinc alloy. Note here that in annealing at 800 to 1000°C in atmosphere with N 2 -H 2 content, surface area enriched in nitrides is formed to prevent the penetration of fused zinc in steel basic metal at welding of coated strip.
EFFECT: improved weldability of zinc-plated steel strips.
