FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of a strip of high-manganese steel with an anti-corrosion coating, providing an increase in the weldability of the bands of high-manganese steel of the following composition (in wt. %): 6–30 manganese, up to 1 carbon, up to 15 aluminum, up to 6 silicon, up to 6.5 chromium, up to 4 copper, titanium and zirconium in the amount up to 0.7, as well as niobium and vanadium in the amount up to 0.5, the rest are iron and inevitable impurities. Method of producing a strip of high-manganese steel with an anti-corrosion coating, comprising providing a steel strip of the above-mentioned composition and applying to said steel strip a first layer containing an anti-corrosion zinc coating consisting of an alloy selected from the group consisting of zinc-manganese alloy and zinc-cobalt alloy.

EFFECT: use of anti-corrosion coatings is disclosed containing the first layer consisting of an alloy of zinc with iron, to improve the weldability of the high-manganese steel strips of the above composition.
