FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the piston ring for internal-combustion engine with coating applied by the powder thermal spraying. The powder for thermal spraying includes solid lubricants, and has elements content in wt %: 15-30 Fe, 15-30 W, 25-35 Cr, 10-35 Ni, 1-5 Mo, 0.2-3 Al, 3-20 Cu, 1-10 C, 0,1-2 S, 0,1-2 Si.
EFFECT: protecting coating applied by the thermal spraying on the piston ring is characterised by high fracture toughness at high fatigue characteristics, increased wear resistance, well resistance to cake and jamming.
