SUBSTANCE: wear-resistant protective coating for piston rings contains, wt %: Fe from 15 to 25, W from 10 to 20, Cr from 20 to 30, Ni from 15 to 25, Mo from 1 to 5, P from 0.1 to 0.5, B from 0.01 to 0.1, C from 0.1 to 5, Si from 0.1 to 2. The method of applying the wear-resistant protective coating to the piston ring includes the preparation of components in a powder form and the application of components to the substrate by the method of high velocity oxygen fuel spraying (HVOF).
EFFECT: increasing wear-resistance of piston rings.
