SUBSTANCE: technical result is to increase the speed of the packaging process. The technical result is achieved by a sealing device containing a sealing tool (101) that can be moved between an inactive position and a sealing position, and containing two working elements (1, 2), each of which has a corresponding working surface, which are facing each other. The working elements (1, 2) are configured to allow the packaging material (3) to pass between them and to perform a transverse seam connection of the said material (3) when the said tool (101) is in the sealing position. The working surfaces are made with the possibility of interacting with each other to perform the mentioned seam connection. In addition, the working surfaces are made with the possibility of interacting with each other during the change of the position of the tool (101) to the sealing position and performing a transverse cutting of the said material (3) during the said shift, with the mentioned interaction.

EFFECT: increased speed of the packaging process.
