SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for evacuation from various facilities housing people. A facility, for example a building, is divided into different segments (1, 2). Each segment (1, 2) of the facility has multiple computing devices (13) which, in each case, control separate indicators (3, 4, 5) of the evacuation route and/or a group of indicators (3, 4, 5) of the evacuation route of the segment (1, 2) of the facility. The computing devices (13) of each segment (1, 2) of the facility store the plan of the segment (1, 2) of the facility and a control algorithm for the safest evacuation route from the segment (1, 2) of the facility. Furthermore, the subject of the invention is an evacuation route indicator which can be used for said apparatus.
