FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing aromatic polyamides includes reacting aromatic dinitriles with bisphenols in an ionic liquid at 150-180°C for 10-12 hours. The ionic liquid is 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium heptachlorodialuminate ([bmim]Al2Cl7).
EFFECT: invention lowers the temperature and reduces the duration of synthesis, increases the molecular weight of the polymer and improves physical and mechanical properties of materials based thereon.
