FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroinsulating medium, consisting of or containing at least one of the following compounds: (a) fluorinated ketone from the group of fluorinated ketones C4, C7 and C8 with general formula R-C(O)-R', in which R and R' represent partially fluorinated or perfluorinated substituents, or (b) fluorinated ketone from the group of fluorinated ketones C5, C9, C10, C11, C13, C14, C15. Invention also relates to commutation and distributing devices, which apply said medium.
EFFECT: claimed medium makes it possible to provide good insulation for constructive elements, which are under voltage, reliably quench any arcs, and possesses good compatibility with the environment.
