FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to an ultrasonic measuring device and a fluid medium flow rate measuring method. The proposed group of inventions includes the following: an ultrasonic measuring device for measurement of flow rate of fluid medium flowing in a pipeline in the main flow direction; use of the ultrasonic measuring device as a gas meter in a gas line and a measuring method of flow rate of the fluid medium flowing in the pipeline in the main flow direction, in which flow rate is determined as per difference in time of passage of an ultrasound emitted and received with a pair of ultrasonic converters in the flow direction and against the flow in the area of ultrasonic measurements; with that, in order to perform a measurement, fluid medium is diverted from the main flow direction and supplied to the area of ultrasonic measurements. The ultrasonic measuring device has an area of ultrasonic measurements at least with one pair of ultrasonic converters, a data processing unit for measurement of flow rate as per difference in time of passage of an ultrasound emitted and received in the flow direction and against flow direction, and a diverting assembly by means of which the fluid medium can be diverted from the main flow direction and supplied to the area of ultrasonic measurements; with that, the diverting assembly forms a loop; the loop has the first diverting element, a section of an incoming flow, an elbow, a section of an outgoing flow and the second diverting element so that fluid medium is diverted with the first diverting element from the main flow direction to the incoming flow section, from there through the elbow to the outgoing flow section, and finally, through the second diverting element back to the main flow direction; with that, ultrasonic converters in the area of ultrasonic measurements are located so that the emitted and received ultrasound has at least one component in a cross direction of the flow.
EFFECT: high accuracy, as well as in simplification of an ultrasonic measurement of flow rate.
