FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ultrasonic flow-type sensor (110) for fluid medium. The offered ultrasonic flow-type sensor (110) contains, at least, two ultrasonic transducers (120, 122), located in a flow pipe (112) with a fluid medium flow, and distributed along the fluid medium flow. The ultrasonic flow-type sensor (110) also has a reflecting surface (126), and the ultrasonic transducers (120, 122) are installed with a possibility of sending to each other of ultrasonic signals by means of single reflection of latter on the reflecting surface (126). Between the ultrasonic transducers (120, 122) a deflecting device (132) is provisioned, which is designed to suppress main spurious ultrasonic signals reflected by the reflecting surface (126) and incident on the deflecting device (132), by means of their deflection away from the ultrasonic transducers (120, 122). The deflecting device is located, at least, in the middle third of the connecting interval between the ultrasonic transducers (120, 122) and has, at least, one deflecting surface (134, 136; 150). Normal lines to the deflecting surface (134, 136; 150) form with the normal line to the reflecting surface (126) angles, the average value of which exceeds 10°.
EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of measurements due to significant suppression of spurious ultrasonic impulses.
