FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical state testing of steel parts, namely to methods of detection of the microcracks due to hydrogen presence in steels. The specified technical result is ensured by the fact that method of the microcracks detection in form of wormholes in steel includes making of the impact test specimens with notch, specimens hardening for martensite, their destruction and identification at the fracture by light and/or scanning microscopy of the martensite microrelief being evidence of the internal cracks presence due to hydrogen brittleness.

EFFECT: assurance of easy and valid method of determination of microcracks - wormholes due to hydrogen presence in steel.
