FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method of mass rearing ichneumons Minotetrastichus frontalis (Nees) is proposed. The method comprises the leaves of linden, used as fodder resources for rearing ichneumons, containing mining damages with caterpillars and/or pupae of linden leaf blotch miner Phyllonorycter issikii (Kumata). The caterpillars and/or pupae of linden leaf blotch miner Phyllonorycter issikii (Kumata) are placed in a single layer in a plastic transparent container with the size l×w×h (cm): 50×20×20, with the ventilation openings which are not more than 0.1 mm on an area of 400 cm². In a container the fertilized females of ichneumons Minotetrastichus frontalis (Nees) are placed at the rate of 1 female per 10 caterpillars and/or pupae of linden leaf blotch miner Phyllonorycter issikii (Kumata). They are kept for 72 hours under constant temperature conditions of 18-22°C.

EFFECT: improvement of efficiency of destruction of insect-miners to control their population.
