FIELD: biotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents four new mutant shapes of plant formate dehydrogenase (FDG). In the first one of the proposed mutant proteins, natural residue of phenylalanine in a position corresponding to position 290 in a sequence of formate dehydrogenase from soya Glycine max has been replaced with alanine residue. In the second mutant shape of the ferment, the same natural residue of phenylalanine 290 has been replaced with tyrosine residue, in the third one with threonine residue and in the fourth one with glutamine residue.
EFFECT: invention allows obtaining formate dehydrogenases having improved properties in comparison to those both with a ferment of a wild type and a with its earlier described mutant shapes.
