FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention is two new mutant forms of plant formate dehydrogenase (FDH) having improved thermostability compared to the initial protein. In the mutant proteins the natural residue of alanine in the position corresponding to position 267 in the initial sequence of formate dehydrogenase of soybean Glycine max, is replaced by the residue of methionine. In addition, in one of the mutants the natural residue of isoleucine in the position 272 is additionally replaced by the residue of valine.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain formate dehydrogenase with increased temperature stability.
