FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents three new mutant forms of plant formate dehydrogenase having improved properties compared to the wild type protein. In the first of the proposed mutant proteins the natural residue of phenylalanine in the position corresponding to the position 290 in the sequence of formate dehydrogenase from soybean Glycine max, is replaced by the asparagine residue. In the second mutant form of this enzyme the same natural residue of phenylalanine 290 is replaced by the aspartic acid residue, and in the third - by the serine residue.
EFFECT: improved variants of formate dehydrogenase with increased thermal stability.
