FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to preventive medicine, namely to methods for protection of workers during exposure to dust contained in workplace air. A person who is in the analyzed air medium is found to have an average working value of the actual minute volume of respiration (MVRa, dm3) and actual average-to-medium dust concentration in worker's breathing zone (Kn, mg/m3). Then allowable length of service (EPN) is determined by the claimed formula.

EFFECT: method enables determining and specifying the permissible length of service under the effect of a professional dust factor by evaluating the combined effect of its hygienic, chronological and physiological components on health of an employee by evaluating the most significant indicators.
