FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: recombinant vaccine for prevention of human papillomavirus infection and method of its preparation is proposed. The vaccine is made based on VLP of main capsid protein LI HPV of types 16, 18, 56, obtained by culturing the recombinant cells of yeast Hansenula polymorpha. The recombinant cells were obtained by introducing into the genome of yeast cell of one copy of the DNA sequence encoding the capsid protein L1 HPV of type 16 or 18 or 56 under the control of a promoter of AIBN and one copy of the DNA sequence encoding the capsid protein L1 HPV of type 16 or 18, or 56, under control of the MOX promoter. The vaccine comprises an effective amount of VLP HPV16-L1, and HPV18-L1, and/or HPV56-L1, in equal proportions, the adjuvant and a physiologically acceptable diluent.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain highly-immunogenic, non-toxic vaccine without side effects.
