FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: strain is obtained by introducing into yeast cells a DNA sequence which codes the capsid protein L1 of HPV type 18 under control of a DAK gene promoter. The present invention provides high output of the recombinant protein L1 of HPV type 18 using simple methods of obtaining high-density cultures and can be used in microbiological synthesis of recombinant protein L1 of HPV type 18, having immunogenic properties of natural protein.
