FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to genetic engineering. Yeast strain Hansenula polymorpha, a producer of the recombinant human papillomavirus L1 protein (HPV) type 6, is proposed. Strain was obtained by introducing a single copy of the DNA sequence encoding the HPV type 6 L1 capsid protein into the yeast cell genome, under the control of the promoter DAK and one copy of the DNA sequence that encodes the capsid protein L1 HPV type 6, under the control of the promoter MOX. Strain provides a high yield of recombinant protein L1 HPV, which has antigenic and immunogenic properties of the natural antigen.
EFFECT: invention can be used for microbiological production of recombinant HPV type 6 L1 protein.
