FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: one performs maize extract mixing with milled components of maize starch manufacture by-products till moisture and starch weight fraction in the mixture is 20-50% and no less than 30%, respectively. The produced mixture extrusion is performed by way of continuous or cyclic passing through 80-300°C extruder zone, the extruder screw rotation frequency being 1.0-2.0 sec-1. The produced extrudate is slightly dried in the process of milling till moisture weight fraction is equal to 11-13%.

EFFECT: labour intensity and energy consumption reduction in the process maize extract dehydration, quality stability during maize fodder storage, more complete usage of the fodder components dry substances and the possibility of fast transition from one operation cycle with preset mode parameters to another one with initial raw material technological indices variation.
