FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of extinguishing peat fires, which consists in laying moles, the latter are performed in the form of a tunnel on the lower level of occurrence of peat formation in which cord explosive is placed, and then blasting of the latter is carried out to form the ditch, on the bottom of which a fire break from the mineral layer of soil is formed.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in fighting against peat fires and reduction of material costs when extinguishing large peat fires.
