FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes detecting current pulses of a pulsed fission chamber using a spectrometric amplifier. The method includes first determining the gain Ki of the spectrometric amplifier; placing the pulsed fission chamber in neutron flux; detecting the shape of the output voltage pulse of the spectrometric amplifier on the input resistance of a discriminator and saving the digitised shape of the output voltage pulse of the spectrometric amplifier with amplitude Uout on an external medium; using the gain Ki to recalculate stored data and restoring the initial current pulse of the pulsed fission chamber, time-integration thereof, calculating the value of charge in the pulse and calculating the normalising factor; determining the nominal amplitude of spectrometric voltage pulses Uv at the input of the discriminator of an intensimeter by normalising the stored output voltage pulse of the spectrometric amplifier with amplitude Uout.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of determining the nominal amplitude of spectrometric voltage pulses, easy processing of spectrometric information and shorter processing time thereof.
