FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: glasses comprise a rim and perforated screens. In the centre area of the screen there are four pairs of holes, wherein each pair consists of a set of circular holes arranged at a certain distance from each other on a horizontal axis and combined by narrow slits. Geometric dimensions of the holes of each pair uniformly decrease towards the lower pair of holes. The screens can be made of grey- or green-coloured semitransparent organic material. Both surfaces of the screens can be flat or curved. The glasses provide smooth increase in optical power towards the lower row of holes, which enables the user to select the most comfortable focal distance for reading or working.
EFFECT: high resolution and faster adaptation for people with eye cataracts.
