FIELD: protective coatings.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to prevent icing and contamination of metal products, such as power lines, truss structures and roofs. The composition based on oxide nanostructures to impart superhydrophobic properties to the surface contains tetraethoxysilane and titanium tetra isopropylate as structure-forming agents, hexamethyldisilazane as a hydrophobic component and isopropyl alcohol as a solvent. To intensify the growth of anisotropic structures, non-spherical nanocrystalline titanium dioxide with particle sizes from 10 to 50 nm is included in the composition.
EFFECT: increase in the edge angle of wetting of the coating, which makes it possible to increase the hydrophobic properties of the composition.
