FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous metal casting. Continuous casting machine comprises the mould, set of limiting guide sections (14) with rollers and limiting guide sections (15) of mixed type with panels and rollers. Mixed-type section (15) comprises one or several guide rollers (16) located at least one side of metal casting product (12) and isolating and/or reflecting and/or heating panels (17) arranged on opposite side of said casting product (12). Said mixed-type sections (15) are located at extension of section (14) with rollers or between sections (14) with rollers. At decreased in casting rate from 6-7 m/min or more to 4-5 m/min or less casting product (12) is directed with the help of mixed-type sections (15) by replacement by them with one of sections (14) with rollers.

EFFECT: reduced temperature losses and control heat conditions at the mould outlet at casting rate change.
