FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, orthopaedics, biomechanics, operative surgery and topographic anatomy, anthropology, and radiodiagnostics. A true angle of the horizontal inclination in the hip joint (HJ) is determined in the norm by data of magnetic-resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography (CT). The patient is laid on a horizontal working surface of the apparatus table with the fixation of legs with feet brought together. The feet are placed in such a way as to provide the elimination of physiological external rotation of the legs, for which purpose they must touch each other with internal surfaces of heads of the first metatarsal bones, internal surfaces of the internal ankles and internal surfaces of the heels. A line of feet contact must be strictly perpendicular to the horizontal surface on which the patient is placed during the entire imaging. After that, the angle of the horizontal inclination in HJ is determined by means of roentgenometry, for which purpose on the obtained tomogram drawn are: one line from the posterior to anterior edge of the acetabulum, determining the plane of entrance into it, the second line along the longitudinal axis of the head and neck of the femur; with the following determination of the angle, formed by crossing of the said two lines.
EFFECT: method provides the effective determination of the true angle of the horizontal inclination in HJ.
