FIELD: physics, acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electro-acoustics, and specifically to an electrostatic loudspeaker. The device is a loudspeaker, having an electrostatic panel which converts an electric signal in the mid-frequency and high-frequency part of the audio frequency range into an acoustic signal. Geometric characteristics of said panel are such that the height is many times greater than the width. The device also has a housing for loading the electro-acoustic panel, which consists of upper and lower bases and two rigid and smooth curved reflectors lying at each side so as to reflect radiation in different sides. The geometric shape of the reflectors in the acoustic system is a first-order curved surface, the generatrix of which can be a curve with a constant radius or an ellipsoid or a paraboloid.
EFFECT: wider reproducible frequency band.
