FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of obtaining isocyanates by the interaction of primary amines with phosgene in a gas phase. In accordance with the claimed method a) a primary amine is evaporated in an evaporation apparatus; b) the evaporated amine, obtained at stage a), which still contains drops, is discharged from the evaporation apparatus, directed through a reactor-feeding pipeline and introduced into the said reactor. The method is characterised by the following: c) the evaporated amine, obtained at stage a), containing liquid drops, which were not separated, is re-heated in the reactor-feeding pipeline in such a way that in the said feeding pipeline immediately before the input into the reactor it has a temperature which is at least 15°C higher than the "dew point"; d) the time of presence of the amine evaporated at stage b) constitutes more than 0.08 s; e) the difference of pressures inside the feeding pipeline between the output from the evaporation apparatus and the input into the reactor constitutes a value between 1 and 500 mbar.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain isocyanates without high loss of pressure between the evaporation apparatus and reactor.
