FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves reaction of corresponding primary diamines with phosgene, wherein phosgene and primary diamines react at temperature higher than the boiling point of amines during an average contact time ranging from 0.05 to 15 seconds. The reaction takes place in adiabatic conditions, wherein before reaction, the primary diamines are evaporated and further heated to operating temperature.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain diisocyanates with high output per unit volume per unit time for a long period of operation of production plants.
