FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in gap of insulated joint magnetic flux is created with direction opposite to magnetic flux of the insulated joint. At that magnetic flux is created against value exceeding the value of magnetic flux in gap of the insulated joint by means of magnet installed in the gap formed by two polar tips fixed at ends of neighbouring rails from the rail bottom side. Then magnetic flux is decreased up to the value ensuring non-availability of magnetic flux intensity in gap of the insulated joint. Device fore reduction of magnetic field intensity in the gap formed by neighbouring rail ends of the insulated joint includes framing elements and magnetic system consisting of ends of neighbouring rails and permanent magnet. The magnet system contains additionally two polar tips installed at ends of neighbouring rails and movable ferromagnetic element. Permanent magnet is installed in gap between polar tips. At motion in regard to the magnet and polar tips ferromagnetic element changes intensity of magnetic field in gap of the insulated joint.
EFFECT: increased safety of railway traffic.
