COMBINED TRANSOSSEOUS FIXATION APPARATUS FOR TREATING BONE FRACTURES Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B17/66

Abstract RU 2549480 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises the first transosseous fixation apparatus consisting of at least two pivot rings with at least two mutually crossing pins fastened by means of a pin retainer, inserted in a tubular bone in each of the pivot rings. The apparatus has a long threaded rod, the first and second reposition and fixation joints, each of which comprises the first and second slides with two mutually perpendicular holes. In the first holes of the first and second slides of the first and second reposition and fixation joints, there are cross rods fixed, e.g. by screw nuts. In the second holes of the first slide of the first and second reposition and fixation joints, there is a long threaded rod fixed, e.g. by screw nuts. In the second holes of the second slides of the first and second reposition and fixation joints, there are the first and second pivot rings fixed, e.g. by the first and second screw nuts respectively. The apparatus has the second transosseous fixation apparatus similar to the first one, mounted on a bone of adjoining segments, a cross rod and two slides with two mutually perpendicular holes at a certain distance from each other, one of which is fixed in the first hole, e.g. by screw nuts on a connected end of the long threaded rod of the first transosseous fixation apparatus. The second of the newly introduced slides is fixed in the first hole, e.g. by screw nuts on the connected end of the long threaded rod of the second transosseous apparatus. In the second holes of the both newly introduced slides, there is the newly introduced threaded cross rod fixed, e.g. by screw nuts.

EFFECT: more effective reposition and stabilisation of bone fragments in extrafocal transosseous osteosynthesis, reduced length of operation, simplified surgical procedure, ensured delayed reposition and single-block fixation of the adjoining segments, effective stabilisation of fragments in the reduced extent of the operation in patient's severe condition, reduced length of postoperative rehabilitation and improved patient's quality of life.
