SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, namely, to railway vehicle brake shoes. Brake shoe of railway vehicle contains composite friction element, metal frame and cast iron insert. The insert is made of silicious iron.
EFFECT: improved shoe operational performance due to use of insert made of different material which is more appropriate for conditions of railway brake shoes operation.
