FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to field of biotechnology. Claimed are strains of Cryptococcus flavescens 3C NRRL Y-50378 and Cryptococcus flavescens 4C NRRL Y-50379 for suppression and control of fusariosis of grains, possessing resistance to prothioconazole. In order to suppress fusariosis strain Cryptococcus flavescens 3C NRRL Y-50378 or strain Cryptococcus flavescens 4C NRRL Y-50379, or combination of said strains is introduced in cereal ear in amount, sufficient for reduction of fusariosis level in comparison with the level, observed for untreated control. Composition for suppression of fusariosis of cereals, including strain Cryptococcus flavescens 3C NRRL Y-50378 or strain Cryptococcus flavescens 4C NRRL Y-50379, or combination of said strains, and agriculturally acceptable carrier, is also claimed.
EFFECT: claimed strains of Cryptococcus flavescens are effective antagonists of F graminearum.
