FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurology, and deals with the prevention of chronic migraine. For this purpose botulotoxin is introduced into fixed places of the frontal muscles, the muscles causing skin wrinkling, the procerus muscle, the occipital muscles, the temporal muscles, the trapezius muscles and the cervical paravertebral muscles. The total number of injection places is 31-39, in a dose of 5 units of botulotoxin per 1 injection. The total amount of introduced botulotoxin constitutes 155-195 units.
EFFECT: botulotoxin dosage regimen provides the effective prevention of headache in patients with chronic migraine.
